JURISPRUDENCE  EXAMINATION  INSTRUCTIONS

 

The Board must receive the registration form and $50.00 examination fee by the exam registration

deadline. 

To prepare for the jurisprudence examination, you should study the Law, Advertising Regulations,

and General Regulations for Massage Therapy, Massage Therapy Code of Ethics and Continuing

Education Requirements.  The examination has 55 multiple choice questions based on the Maryland

massage laws and regulations.  Each applicant must receive a passing score of 75% to be eligible for

massage certification or registration.  If you are not successful in passing the examination, there is a

$50.00 fee for each re-examination (see attached).

Your examination confirmation letter will be sent before the scheduled test date by mail / email.

Bring your test confirmation letter and photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport to

the test site.

• Do not submit registration request more than 60 days in advance of the desired test date. 

• Applicants must send MTAC applications and examination registration forms together.

• All applications must be submitted by mail or messenger service.  NO WALK-IN's!!!

• Fee must be paid for by money order or certified check.

Note:

Parking is available on the 4201 Patterson Avenue lot; however, parking is limited between

8:00am to 5:00pm.  If possible, please use public or other means of transportation.  The building

is easy to get to by using the Metro System (Reisterstown Plaza station) and MTA buses.
